Sursum Corda Summer Nights at Newman!
Sursum Corda Summer Nights at Newman!
Sursum Corda Summer Nights is back! Join us Thursday nights from 8-9pm at the Newman Center.
Sursum Corda (Latin: “Lift up your Hearts!”) is the opening dialogue to the Preface of the Eucharistic Prayer, dating back to at least to the 3rd century.
We are coming together in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, to pray, to praise and to rest in Christ presence. Sursum Corda will have praise & worship music to help us open our hearts to Christ who is alive and present ready to enter ever more fully into communion with us.
There will be an opportunity to bring your written intentions to a prayer team that will be praying in the chapel with those present. You may also type your intentions if you can only participate virtually with us into the comments section on the Rapid City Newman Center Facebook page.
We wish to lift our hearts to the Lord, and pray for an outpouring of his grace and mercy individually and as a community. Please join us for Sursum Corda!
